The Lotus is a light laser turret (LLT), it can handle one or two raiders but dies relatively easily to more than that, or skirmishers.

Strategy

Use these alongside Lotuses to defend from early raids. Try to use their range to its maximum effectiveness, it will die to a single raider. If needed, this outranges a Lotus so it may be used as a sort of skirmisher to it.

Counters

Folds to anything that moves and bothers attacking it. Can be annoying in large numbers but dies to any area of effect damage, Badger is very good at destroying large amounts of these.
